COVID-19 Precautions: Captain/Crew will have face covering in place when unable to maintain social distancing guidelines set forth by the CDC. Boat/equipment will be sanitized via a bleach and water solution exceeding CDC guidelines prior to every trip. Trips will be scheduled 30 minutes apart to allow for proper cleaning of vessel and equipment prior to the next party boarding the “Scotty-J”. Hand sanitizer to be available to customers that may forget to bring any. Sadly, we can no longer allow children or other clients to sit at the helm with us. Due to COVID-19 we are now recommending clients to bring their own drinking water
NOTE: Due to FWC Special Closure Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Snook are catch and release only until 6/1/2021. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sorry but absolutely no hard alcohol, glass containers, aerosol (spray) sunblock, medical marihuana or any illegal substances are allowed on the vessel at anytime. Beer and wine cooler type beverages are allowed in moderation. No intoxicated persons will be allowed on the vessel. In the event a person does become intoxicated, we will immediately return to the dock and the trip will be considered completed.

Ice for storage of catch.
We clean, ice and bag your catch.
Carry on bags are limited to one standard size back pack bag per 2 passengers and one medium size cooler (space is at a premium).
In addition, non-fishing trips include padded seating for 6
What you will need to bring
Preferred light sole shoes, but wear whatever non-slip rubber sole shoes you may have.
Hat, sunglasses, sunblock (lotion only), hand sanitizer.
Camera. (I can take pictures via Iphone and either air drop or text/email them to you)
Food, soft drinks, medications.
We recommend lots of hydration both the day before and day of trip, especially in the summer months.
Waterproof bag for phone or wallets (zip-lock is good)
Rain jackets or warm weather jackets (depending on season)
NO BANANAS ALLOWED – ITS BAD LUCK
(Yup, we’re serious)
Shade/shelter is limited on the boat. Weather changes fast. We constantly monitor weather via boat radar, VHF radio, and weather apps, but there is potential to get rained on. We will do everything possible to navigate around any uncomfortable weather. Sea conditions change and are not as forecasted. For that reason, at the Capt.’s discretion an offshore trip could get diverted inshore or closer near shore during the trip.
We recommend the 4-hour trips for families with younger children or those very new to fishing.
6 hour or extended trips offer more flexibility regarding travel time when moving between spots or number of locations available to fish. Please note all sharks will be catch and release. You are more than welcome to keep all other legal species according to state fishing regulations.
Please let us know what your expectations are, and we will help you plan your trip!
Where to meet
We are based out of the Gulfport Municipal Marina. It is located at 4630 29th Ave S, Gulfport Florida 33711.
In order to give you the best and safest trip possible Capt. Rich may adjust fishing locations, departure location, or departure times. This would usually happen the day before departure. In the event a trip is cancelled by Capt. Rich every attempt will be made to reschedule, or a full refund will be issued. If prior to departure, trip is changed by Capt. Rich, from offshore to inshore, inshore pricing will be applied or customer may cancel and deposit fully refunded.
